Behind the Scene and other Major Plot Points
How did Tigress find the panda village so easily.
If I recall correctly, Li Shan said the location of the panda village was a secret, and Tigress found like it was nothing. At least it was explained how Kai found the panda village.
that’s what I thought when I saw the movie but I guess you can say she found em by scent? *shrugs*
I was thinking she tracked them by scent too since real tigers have that instinct
If you pay close attention to Kai’s attack on the temple, we see Tigress grab the scroll which talks of the panda village. It is very possible the scroll had a map or some directions to the panda village.
That works. You can’t catch every detail of a movie during your first viewing.
Also, Po went there. Recently, with his dad. So that’s 2 fresh set of tracks and witnesses.
Yes, they show this with Kai following the tracks left by them.
I was wondering the same thing myself. Did the scroll have directions?
Tigress used the map to fiND the village.
As a tiger, she’s a master hunter. Her perceptiveness, essentially detective skills, are unparalleled by any of her peers which allows her to be a great tracker following the path of Po and his father.
We never see the whole content of the scroll and there is a huge chance it contains the map to panda village.
I was surprised
This is the only animated movie series in recent years that remains actually decent with following sequels. I’m an adult and loved it, usually not a fan of these movies, but I love that there’s this positive message in this movie for everyone just to be themselves. It’s a great message for children and even adults.
Yeah I thought this one was really good.
I think the second film is still the best due to it having a wicked good villain and yet this is the one that feels most confident.
Very stylish, impeccably scored and boasts serious voice acting talent.
What does selecting Po as the Dragon Warrior mean?
Oogway wasn’t just impressed by Po falling out of the sky. He made a selection for everyone’s help for a long time. He knew that Kai would try to break out of the spirit realm and come back. When he comes back, only a master of Chi could stop him. . Since Oogway decided to go from the mortal realm to the spirit realm, he saw no one else as fit as a Panda, who were the masters of Chi. Kai would be the biggest threat to the world. Training Po to become a Kung Fu master wouldn’t be as hard as teaching the art of Chi to another person. In a way of speaking, Oogway saw the coming apocalypse, and made the most apt decision by selecting Po as the Dragon Warrior.
The CEO of Dreamworks confirmed that this is not the last movie in the franchise and that 3 Kung Fu Panda films are planned ahead.
Visit to Panda preserve in China
In order to get a feel for how pandas live, the filmmakers went directly to China’s biggest panda preserve in Chengdu. While there, the filmmakers noted that pandas rolled to get places and incorporated that into the film.
Kai’s green eyes are in accordance with the Chinese legends of green eyes being synonymous with evil.
Why did Kai not use Oogway?
Does anyone know why General Kai not use Master Oogway as a Jade Zombie (Jombie)?
Yeah I was always expecting him to use it but he never did. Maybe he didnt use him out of respect for him or something along those lines?
Maybe Oogway was so in control of his Chi, that Kai could not control it. Just guessing.
All other zombies Kai used were mortals. However, Oogway was from spirit realm….maybe because of that he couldn’t control oogway like he controlled others.
I kept thinking maybe he’s saving Oogway for the finale but I guess not.
I thought because once set free OOgway was not completely controllable as he did have some chi knowledge.
The action cinematography in this film and the stunning animation made my jaw drop, as the previous films did also. The beautiful music accentuated this very well
I agree that the animation in this one is beautiful.

..there’s no shortage of humor. But the animation is the real standout in the film.(click here to see)
