Behind the Scene and other Major Plot Points
So Zach Galifianakis…
… is just repeting his role from The Hangover
Hmmm no not really. The character Zach Galifianakis plays in this, is kind of effeminate and quirky. He’s generally a nice guy with a few strange habits. He means well. The character Zach Galifianakis plays in the hangover movies is a spoilt man-child with serious mental health issues. Don’t understand how anyone couldn’t make that distinction between the two as they’re very different …
but there you go.
In your opinion, is this a movie you have to own or is this a movie that you would just watch on tv if it was on?
Personally I loved it.
I bought it the moment it was available.
entertaining movie, but….
They would have tons of cops chasing them after the Mexico border stuff. Ethan took out two cop cars. He would have a list of felonies as long as his arm. There is no way that all those witnesses on the road or those two border agents would not have called that in.
I think it would have to be:
“Dad….you were like a father to me” lol. That line gets me every time.
like truly true
That was funny but I also loved.
“I’ve been called a lot of things but inappropriate. Man that’s some f_ _cked up s_ _t.
Dad, You were like a father to me, probably THE funniest, but explaining to the Dad’s ashes why they were being left at the side of the road was pretty good.
“I’ve got an expectant father and a gunshot victim, which way?”
Views from main actor
On Access Hollywood (1996) to promote the film, Robert Downey Jr. said that working on this film was his ‘most glorious experience’ in all his career.
On a scale of 0-10 how did you like Due Date?
I give it an 8/10, I thought it was a really good movie but I didn’t think it was quite a comedy classic, I personally liked Zach G’s character in The Hangover more than this movie
– The Grand Canyon looked good in HD.
– I smiled when I saw Todd Phillips as the same creepy guy from Road Trip and Old School.
8/10, I laughed hysterically through most of the movie. I have watched it about 3 times already.
A solid 9; great comedic timing on both actors.
i Just wonder why Peter didn’t kill ethen in the Great Canyon.
this is absolutely legitimate when ethen confessed he hid peter’s wallet.
Well he pretty much tried to kill him until his cell phone ringed and it turned out to be his wife going into labor. That brought him back to his sanity and from there all was forgiven because he needed to get to LA ASAP.
Part/line you laughed most at?
First off I loved this movie so much – I’m not even sure why but it was one of the funnier movies I’ve seen in a while.
The part I laughed hardest at was when Ethan (Galifianakas) walks up to the pickup truck after RDJ calls him over post-ranting on him and trying to leave with Jamie Foxx.
Ethan goes, “Are you ready to apologize yet?”
RDJ “WHAT? *beep* YOU!”
The way he delivered that line was so friggen hilarious idk why I lost it.
Ethan: “I puked in the wound.”
Peter: “I know.”
Punching the kid!
The problem I had was that the big belly laughs were in the trailers, but the dialogue and back and forth between Galifianakis and RDJ was great.
Just Galifianakis’ face getting out of the car in the beginning got a big laugh in my theater.
“You fvcking hick”
“I’m gonna go hang out with my fvcking boys at chilis”
“Are you a girl or something?”
My favorite part was when Ethan is doing the first scene of The Godfather for Heidi and Barry, and when he finishes, Barry asks “Did you write that?”
Definitely the kid getting punched. I thought Peter was gonna spank him over his knee but instead he just grabs the kid’s shoulder and BAM
