Setting of the Scene
The scene where Conor stands by the gate looking up the hill was filmed at Rivington Pike in Horwich, Bolton. In the scene, the pike setting has been altered for the purposes of the film.

After his mother’s (Lizzie) death, back at house, when Conor scan through the photos on the wall, we can see Liam Neeson holding her when she was a young girl, this could means that he is her father; Conor’s grandfather (not credited). Liam Neeson voices the Monster in the movie.
This will be fourth time
..that Liam Neeson has voiced a CGI character. The first time was for Aslan in the three Chronicles of Narnia movies, the second as Phango in Khumba and the third was Good Cop/Bad Cop in The Lego Movie.
